Where the facts come from

Licenses come from the Florida DBPR license register. Phone numbers, websites and hours come from each business's own website. Every fact on a page carries the date it was checked, and a page never claims a fresher check than its oldest fact.

How businesses are listed

Every list is alphabetical among the businesses that pass the check for their trade. Nobody pays to be listed or to move up. Cone Red sells marketing to some listed businesses; that never affects whether or where a business is listed. How we check and list businesses

Before a page is published, Alim of LocalBest reads it. A page names its reader next to its date only once that read is recorded, and a page that changes after the read loses the name until it is read again.
